Mother Cabrini Health Foundation Invests in Enhanced Homelessness Prevention

The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation has generously invested $1,500,000 over the next three years to support The Partnership’s Save Homes FY26-28 Program Expansion. Their support will directly prevent homelessness for vulnerable New Yorkers and promote long-term housing stability.

“We are proud to support The Partnership To End Homelessness because every single underserved person in our community deserves not only a safe place to call home, but the dignity and agency to build the future they envision. By investing in solutions that honor people’s strengths and remove barriers and not reinforce them, we are helping create a path where stability, hope and opportunity are within reach for everyone. Ending homelessness is possible, and it starts with believing in the potential of every individual and working together to ensure that no one is left behind,” said the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.

This grant will serve as a key anchor in our FY26-28 strategy to deepen our prevention work. It will allow us to continue our housing crisis services and engage our clients in more intensive casework and community-based supportive services. By doing so, we can address their immediate crisis while providing ongoing support services that root them in their homes and communities.

Amidst record-high homelessness, rising living costs and unprecedented federal policy developments, the Save Homes Program will serve as a vital safety net. The Foundation’s partnership will ensure that New York’s most vulnerable residents have the resources and support they need to remain stably housed, achieve long-term well-being and build healthier, more secure futures.

“We are grateful for the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s commitment to homelessness prevention. As the cost of living continues to rise and many New Yorkers are losing access to public supports, this funding comes at a critical moment. Through partnerships like this, we can deepen our prevention work to protect our most vulnerable neighbors and keep them safely in their homes,” said Áine Duggan, President and CEO of The Partnership To End Homelessness.
